Samantha Dewaele is an illustrator and printmaker living in Southern Ontario. She holds a BA from the University of Guelph in Fine Arts and Literature and an MA in Literature from Lakehead University. By day, she works as an editor for children’s books!

Her work is inspired by the outdoors, children’s book illustrations, and her Danish heritage. She seeks to tell a story behind each illustration. She values sustainability and conscious creation in her life and art practice.
